China Telecom Voted “Most Honored Companies in Asia” Five Years in a Row

Hong Kong, 29 July 2015 – China Telecom Corporation Limited (“China Telecom” or “the Company”; HKEx: 00728; NYSE: CHA) was voted by global investors as “Most Honored Companies in Asia” in the All-Asia-Executive Team Poll five years in a row since the poll’s inauguration. The poll was organized by “Institutional Investor”, a highly regarded financial magazine. Mr. Wang Xiaochu, Chairman and CEO of China Telecom was voted again as “Asia’s No. 1 Best CEO in telecommunications sector” and the Company was also ranked consistently as “Asia’s No. 1 Best Investor Relations Company in telecommunications sector”. In addition, China Telecom also earned No. 1 in telecommunications sector at its inaugural Asia’s Best Analyst Days ranking.

2015 All-Asia-Executive Team ranking, organised for the fifth year to recognise top Asia (ex-Japan) region’s companies and executives, received opinion from over 1440 sell-side analysts, buy-side analysts and money managers at nearly 600 firms that collectively manage an estimated US$1.09 trillion in Asian (ex-Japanese) equities. The poll participants were asked to nominate best companies and executives who excel at a number of management attributes.
