Telia has received an ‘A’ score in CDP’s annual Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA). The prestigious result recognizes Telia as a global pacesetter in engaging suppliers on climate issues, with the company committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040.

Since 2018, Telia has cut its value-chain emissions by 35% and is targeting a reduction of at least 50% by 2030. Suppliers representing 62% of spend in Telia’s supply chain had set science-based reduction targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) or equivalent at the end of 2025.

Anna Augustson, Telia Company Group Head of Sustainability: “The vast majority of Telia’s emissions come from our supply chain. Engagement is therefore our key to effective climate action. This latest CDP recognition shows our ongoing efforts are on the right track, at a time when accelerating the global transition towards a net-zero, sustainable economy has never been more urgent.”

Along with supplier engagement, the SEA evaluates companies’ risk management, governance and business strategy, scope 3 emissions (including verification) and targets. Telia’s score is based on its 2025 disclosure. The company also received an ‘A’ for supplier climate engagement in 2024 and 2022, and an ‘A’ for climate disclosure in 2025.

Enabling customers’ and its own climate transition is one of Telia’s four sustainability focus areas, with further details available in the company’s Climate Transition Plan.

CDP is a global non-profit that runs an independent disclosure system aimed to support companies, capital markets, cities, states and regions in managing their environmental impacts.
