Vodafone Executive joins TM Forum Board of Directors to drive Open Digital Architecture (ODA)

Scott Petty, Chief Digital & IT Officer joins TM Forum Board to build industry collaboration, accelerate digital transformation, create business agility and help telcos compete with digital giants

London, UKTM Forum, the industry association driving digital transformation through collaboration, today announces its latest addition to its Board of Directors with the appointment of Scott Petty, Chief Digital & IT Officer at Vodafone. Scott brings a wealth of experience in IT, commercial and network leadership roles, driving strategic initiatives such as O-RAN and network evolution to put the power of connectivity in customers’ hands.

Vodafone has been a member of TM Forum since 1996 and has since evolved to become a leading technology company, driving greater innovation capabilities to transform its customer experience across 21 countries. To do this, Vodafone has used TM Forum’s expertise and collaborative approach to solve common business challenges. Through this partnership, Vodafone is on a mission to unlock industry growth by delivering the framework, tools and code to significantly reduce time to market and operating costs, enable federation and deliver the best possible digital experience.

TM Forum’s Board of Directors navigates the organization’s strategy and success on behalf of its members. The Board determines how the Forum serves its members and the broader industry by setting direction, priorities, key themes and initiatives. The Board aims to have a representative balance of member industry sectors and geographies with various types of service providers, software companies, equipment suppliers and systems integrators.

Biography

Scott leads the newly integrated European Digital & IT team that will drive Vodafone’s transformation to a New Generation Telco and ultimate ambition to become a Technology Communications Company. Prior to this, Scott was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Vodafone UK, where he was responsible for operational excellence, delivering enhanced business capability and driving innovation to support business growth.
