Tieto and Orange Business have signed a framework agreement whereby Orange Business is becoming a significant capacity and related managed services provider for Tieto. The deployment will entail gradual transition of services in scope from Tieto’s current provider who will continue to be an important supplier to Tieto beyond the scope of this frame agreement.

The agreement with Orange Business covers all four businesses of Tieto and common corporate-level IT services. Tieto Banktech is already today confirmed to opt for the services of Orange Business, with first migrations to Cloud Avenue, Orange Business’ sovereign European cloud platform, beginning in the second half of 2026. Other Tieto businesses are foreseen to follow gradually during an approximate two-year transition period and would establish their distinct plans in due time and manner. In addition to business continuity, key criteria in choosing the future partner include potential to support in the company’s European expansion and competitive cost levels.

“Orange Business is an internationally renowned and trusted provider in this field, and their profile is matching overall well with our business priorities, including our aspiration to expand and strengthen our company’s footprint in Europe. Our collaboration is intended to deliver efficiency through standardized services, as well as a robust and modernized delivery model. These services play a vital role in our customer deliveries, and business continuity is the key design principle in the change we are now undertaking”, comments Endre Rangnes, CEO of Tieto.

“At Orange Business, we are proud to be a trusted partner supporting Tieto’s growth across the Nordics and its strategic expansion across Europe. Through our Cloud Avenue platform, we provide a secure and compliant cloud foundation across multiple European countries, helping Tieto maintain full data control, resilience, and meet strict regulatory requirements in key industries such as banking, healthcare, and public services. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to trusted, resilient technology that supports Tieto’s ambitions in a complex digital landscape", says Knut Grøvan, General Manager at Orange Business Digital Norway.

At this initial stage of the collaboration, Tieto and Orange Business are not disclosing financial or other details regarding the agreement.
