  • The 5-year deal will move Three UK’s IT technology support to one partner
  • The simplification will enhance reliability and stability of the company’s IT services

Three UK has broadened its agreement with Amdocs, a leading provider of software and services, to consolidate its customer IT systems under a single supplier. The multi-million-pound deal will increase reliability, provide greater accountability and swifter issue resolution, ensuring a seamless customer experience and providing better connectivity, every day, to every customer.

This new deal is an extension to the relationship with Amdocs, following the business’ recent IT transformation, and extends it to support IT applications and infrastructure, including our new customer plan Three Your Way, that offer customers the ultimate flexibility.

These new airtime plans – Lite, Value and Complete – give customers the opportunity to customise their benefits, airtime contract length, and spread the cost for their device over time.

The move to a single provider is based on our business need for single accountability and the driving of further improvements to the service that our customers will experience.

David Hennessy, Chief Technology Officer, Three UK, said: “I am pleased that we have broadened our agreement with Amdocs to consolidate our IT support under a single supplier. This will enhance reliability and stability for customers, helping provide better connectivity, every day, to every customer. I’d like to thank our incumbent partners for their great support and performance over many years.”

Anthony Goonetilleke, Group President of Technology and Head of Strategy, Amdocs, said: “As Three UK’s trusted collaborator, we’re excited to contribute to the simplification of their IT operations, covering the entire spectrum of applications, infrastructure, and architecture. This agreement underscores our commitment to innovation and excellence, and we look forward to refining customer experiences, bringing new value and shaping the future of IT services alongside Three UK.”

Background

There is no impact to any Three UK employees, but there will be elements of TUPE from our existing partners.

The ambition is to have fully transitioned by Q2 2024.
