Qualcomm appoints Sergio Buniac as executive VP of Mobile, Compute, and Personal AI

Qualcomm Incorporated today announced the appointment of Sergio Buniac as executive vice president and group general manager of Mobile, Compute and Personal AI, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., effective September 2. In this role, Buniac will oversee the smartphone, personal computing, smart wearables and XR businesses, including a new generation of AI devices. He will report directly to Cristiano Amon, president and chief executive officer of Qualcomm Incorporated.

Buniac joins Qualcomm following more than three decades at Motorola, where he served in a range of regional and worldwide leadership roles spanning strategy, product, sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain. Since 2018, Buniac was the President of Motorola Devices.
