In this demo, Gerardo Garcia de Blas, Technological Specialist, Network Virtualisation at Telefónica demonstrates an end-to-end NFV architecture operating within a multi-vendor environment. Telefónica’s approach, with Enhanced Platform Awareness at the NFV-0 and VIM levels, enables intelligent allocation of resources and the sort of carrier-grade performance ‘Classic Cloud’ cannot provide because that approach introduces bottlenecks in packet processing.
