June 18, 2020: As part of the "Digital Take Off | Accelerating the future of SMEs" cycle, the webinar "Network optimization as an ally to digital transformation: a strategy in times of pandemic" was held on the 4^th June, an organization of IAPMEI in partnership with the University of Aveiro, and Altice Labs was invited to participate.

At a time of pandemic, when jobs have to migrate from manufacturing and operational units to places of residence, a new challenge arises. Is the level of digital transformation an ally to this challenge?

The debate on this topic was initiated by Susana Sargento from the University of Aveiro and Gil Brito, from the Network Systems Development Department at Altice Labs, talking about network optimization as an ally to digital transformation, showing innovative solutions and state-of-the- art for telecommunications operators applied in home networking. Gil Brito also spoke about the recent Smart Mesh Wi-fi solution: a technological solution that promotes an improved communications experience in the home environment. The recent pandemic has brought a new socioeconomic environment, people and businesses today feel the need to reinvent themselves. Telecommunications and technology are essential tools for this transformation.
