AT&T is teaming up with ESL to enhance the fan experience at the biggest gaming stages by providing charging stations, keeping everyone connected with Wi-Fi and incorporating the latest 5G technology.
AT&T and esports powerhouse ESL are teaming up to improve competitive gaming for everyone from the casual gamer watching at home to the esports pro inside the arena.
Where you’ll see us
As the Official Telecommunications and Mobile Gaming Partner of ESL North America, AT&T will play a part in some of the biggest events and platforms in gaming: Arena of Valor Pro League, the E3 ESL Arena, ESL One New York, and Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) North America.
ESL, the largest independent esports company, works to deliver the best esports experiences globally both online and through live events. AT&T’s collaboration with ESL will enable us to enhance the fan experience and allow fans to engage with esports content in new and innovative ways.
What fans can expect
As we jump into esports—through things like branding and on-site activations—we also want to demonstrate what AT&T is capable of bringing to the space. We’ll keep fans connected through superfast Wi-Fi and convenient charging stations, and showcase the latest in technology through immersive experiences and demos. We’ll ultimately incorporate our future 5G technologies to take mobile esports to the next level.
We announced the collaboration yesterday at SHAPE, AT&T’s immersive two day event exploring the convergence of technology and entertainment. Next week, the AT&T and ESL partnership will be on full display at E3. TWITCH viewers will see AT&T within the broadcast of the E3 ESL Arena as competition is underway. We’ll also host a cutting edge 5G demo in the ESL booth at E3 to give gamers an up close look at how an ultra-fast and low-latency 5G connection from AT&T will give them the ability to take their live gaming experience with them virtually anywhere.
Speed and connectivity—cornerstones of the AT&T network—are critical components of esports. That’s especially true today, as mobile gaming and competitive esports on-the-go look to reach a more mobile-centric audience. With ESL, through each of our strengths in technology and entertainment, AT&T will help elevate the gaming experience with our fiber and future 5G technologies, offering an ultra-fast connection for both the casual and professional gamer.
