ADTRAN and EATEL Transform Louisiana Parishes with GIG Internet Service

New ultra-high speed broadband service supports economic growth and urban development in Southeastern Louisiana

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 5, 2015-- ADTRAN®, Inc., (NASDAQ: ADTN), a leading provider of next-generation networking solutions, announced today that EATEL has joined the company’s Enabling Communities, Connecting Lives program. EATEL is leveraging ADTRAN’s Gigabit broadband platform for its new GIG Internet service offering. Residents in Louisiana’s Ascension and Livingston Parishes can now experience one of the nation’s fastest broadband speeds with 1 Gigabit Ethernet Internet connections – 10 times faster than the typical Internet connection offered.

Gigabit broadband adoption is growing rapidly in communities all around the country as a means of enhancing the quality of life for residents and stimulating economic growth and urban development. With EATEL’s GIG Internet service, customers in Louisiana can now enjoy these benefits first hand. Residents are able to instantly connect to cloud services, video chat in real-time with friends and family and stream high-definition movies uninterrupted.
