For the second year in a row, Telia Norway has been ranked as having the country’s best mobile network, based on comprehensive benchmarking by Rohde & Schwarz, a leading provider of mobile network testing solutions.
The benchmark assessed the performance of the three leading operators in Norway. Telia emerged as the number one network with a Network Performance Score of 830 points out of a possible 1,000 – a result that places the company among the world’s leading mobile networks.
Bjørn Ivar Moen, Head of Telia Norway: “We’re very proud to be recognized once again by Rohde & Schwarz as having Norway’s best mobile network. Telia has invested heavily in modernizing our network and in delivering great 4G and 5G connectivity to consumers and businesses across Norway. We continue to move ahead, and following the closure of our 2G network, we can now deliver even better coverage, capacity and speeds, which in turn will help to build a strong and resilient digital Norway.”
Two main categories were evaluated by Rohde & Schwarz: voice services and data services, which include popular mobile services such as web browsing, social media, voice telephony, data transfer and video. Telia received 377 out of a possible 400 points in voice services, and 453 out of a possible 600 points in data services.
Conducted from November 12 to December 12, 2025, and commissioned by Telia, the benchmark covered more than 7,250 kilometers and over half of Norway’s population. It included major cities, key road corridors and numerous towns nationwide, including locations in northern Norway such as Bodø, Narvik and Tromsø. In total, more than 16,650 voice calls and over 170,500 data tests were assessed.
Axel Hansmann, CEO, Rohde & Schwarz SwissQual AG: “We congratulate Telia Norway on their outstanding performance, which demonstrates their commitment to delivering exceptional mobile network experiences. This recognition is based on our most comprehensive evaluation to date, with coverage extended by an additional 1,750 kilometers of Norwegian roads. Our independent, standards-based testing, which included 40% more voice calls and 60% more data tests than previous assessments, provides valuable insights into the quality and performance of Norway’s leading mobile network operator, empowering both consumers and operator.”
Today, Telia’s mobile network covers more than 99% of the population in Norway. By the end of the fourth quarter of 2025, Telia had over 1.8 million mobile postpaid subscribers in Norway, spanning consumers, businesses, critical services and more.
