Most new generations of mobile technology trigger a temporary spike in operator revenues, only for that spike to even out again and return to broadly flat-lining. With the new tools that 5G brings to them, mobile operators have an opportunity to build vertical industry use cases and target a much larger share of enterprise spending on communications services. This survey gauges the operator community’s perception of this opportunity, what capabilities and partnership models they are going to need to prioritize, and whether security features as a differentiator rather than just a base-line requirement.
