Ericsson reinforces commitment to Pakistan’s digital future

Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) participated in the first EU–Pakistan Business Forum (EU–PKBF) 2026, held on April 28–29 in Islamabad, engaging with public and private sector leaders on how advanced connectivity, AI, and 5G can accelerate Pakistan’s digital transformation and economic growth.

The forum brought together government leaders, industry stakeholders, and technology partners to explore opportunities for investment, innovation, and deeper collaboration.

During the event, Ericsson contributed to executive roundtable discussions, demonstrating how artificial intelligence (AI)-driven networks and 5G-ready infrastructure can enable scalable, high-impact use cases across key sectors, including logistics, energy, mobility, and financial services. The dialogue reinforced the role of connectivity as a critical enabler of private sector growth and national development. Ericsson Pakistan’s country president, Aamir Ahsan particiapted in a keynote alongside the Minister of IT & Telecoms, reinforcing the importance of strong public–private collaboration in accelerating digital transformation. At the exhibition booth, Ericsson maintained a prominent presence, with the local team showcasing its latest 5G innovations and capabilities, demonstrating how differentiated connectivity is enabling new possibilities across industries.
