EE, the UK's most advanced digital communications company, today confirmed LG’s new flagship smartphone, the LG G5, will be available with WiFi Calling and 4G Calling on EE’s superfast 4GEE network.

When matched with the UK’s biggest and fastest 4G network, LG G5 users will be able to access EE’s 4G+ network, offering download speeds of up to 150 Mbps for the ultimate in connectivity and performance. Handsets purchased from the EE online shop, EE telesales and EE retail stores will also be able to support WiFi Calling allowing customers to make calls and send texts in more places across the UK. The LG G5 will also as be provisioned with 4G Calling (VoLTE) later this year, so users can stay on superfast 4G when making calls.

The successor to the widely praised LG G4, the new LG G5’s modular design provides consumers with an evolutionary smartphone experience. With a sleek metal aluminium, uni-body construction, the unique LG G5 is the company’s most visually striking smartphone to date. EE will offer the new handset, available in a range of colours, to business and consumer customers.

The new flagship boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, a 5.3-inch Quad HD IPS Quantum display, and dual cameras on the rear: a standard angle 16MP lens, and a 135-degree wide angle lens, the widest available on any smartphone. The new modular design will also come with its own ecosystem of companion products that bring the pleasure of playing with technology back to everyday life. The range of companion products coming to EE will be announced in due course.

Consumers will be able to pre-order the LG G5 from EE on March 17th with an exclusive pre-order offer to be announced nearer the time.
