Virtualisation and LTE are natural partners

Steve Shaw, Product Marketing Director, Juniper Networks, tells Martyn Warwick about what he sees as a real trend in the mobile space. Operators who really embraced LTE took it as an inflection point for the building of a new sort of network - more flexible and distributed - to support it. "It's like 2G and 3G were just practice. Now they're building the right network without the monolithic approaches taken before," he says. "And they've realised that the only way they can do it economically is through virtualisation."
