The OpenStack community has achieved much in its first ten years, but the market and ecosystem continue to change and evolve. Telcos are now playing a much more important role, but how different are their needs and how are these needs shaping the ongoing development of OpenStack?
There’s this near-mystical place called the Network Edge, which everyone seems to interpret slightly differently, but it is becoming widely acknowledged that OpenStack is going to be central to its success. However, there are a lot of open source projects and other initiatives looking at the Edge, so how does the OpenStack Foundation ensure that its community members don’t duplicate work and that the whole telecoms industry can benefit?
