24 February 2016, Shenzhen, China â ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, today announced the launch of its latest cloud solution Cloud Works, which adopts a business mode with ICT convergence and innovation to help operators realize fast transformation.
ZTE Cloud Works supports operators in building a convergent PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) system via automatic developing, orchestration, deployment and the operation of ICT applications. It supports network transformation from private equipment to cloud based and general equipment. This effectively enhances NFV/IT (Network Function Virtualization/ Information Technology) software deployment and operation efficiency, shortens time to market and builds an open developer ecosystem.
ZTE has partnered with major operators to establish the worldâs largest virtualization RCS network in China which is scheduled to be commercialized in 2016. The company has also developed a large-scale vEPC (Virtualized Evolved Packet Core) network constructed in the Commonwealth of Independent States which is devoted to network technology transition and ICT convergence. In addition, ZTE actively takes part in developing commercial tests with leading operators in Europe and the America.
ZTE Cloud core network has been deployed in over 12 commercial offices and 32 test offices all over the world and takes a leading position in global cloud network construction.
