The Secretary of State has today announced a decision on the Fox/Sky proposed merger.
Ofcom has now published two letters, which provided further points of clarification to the Secretary of State.
On 29 June 2017 Ofcom published a fit and proper decision in relation to Sky.
Following requests from interested parties for further explanation, Ofcom has added explanatory wording to two paragraphs – numbers 55 and 61 – to identify more clearly the matters we relied upon in reaching our decision.
Our duty to be satisfied that all licensees are fit and proper is ongoing, and we continue to monitor and assess all relevant developments.
