Ofcom appoints new Consumer Group Director

Ofcom today announced the appointment of Lindsey Fussell as its new Consumer Group Director.

Lindsey joins Ofcom from HM Treasury, where she is Director of Public Services. She will be leading Ofcom’s work on consumer policy and protection, market research and intelligence.

She has previously worked in senior roles across Treasury and Government, in a career spanning over 20 years. Her experience includes leading the development of policy on UK fiscal devolution, supporting the Varney review for public service transformation and leading key aspects of the 2015 Spending Review.

Lindsey joins Ofcom in April and will report to Sharon White, Ofcom Chief Executive.

Lindsey said: “I'm delighted to be joining Ofcom at such an important time for the organisation and the communications industries. I’m looking forward to building on Ofcom’s strong reputation as a regulator that has the consumer at the heart of everything it does.”
