New Hewlett Packard Enterprise Hyper-Converged Solution Accelerates Customers’ Journey to the Hybrid Cloud
Hyper Converged 250 for Microsoft Cloud Platform System Standard delivers simplified management and reduced risk
PALO ALTO, CA and LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM – December 1, 2015 – Today, at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Discover London, HPE announced a new solution designed to provide customers the flexibility to choose the right mix of on-premise and public cloud with simplified management and secure computing. This new solution enables organizations large and small to run business applications on-premise while leveraging the public cloud for services such as backup and disaster recovery. The new, innovative HPE Hyper Converged 250 for Microsoft Cloud Platform System (CPS) Standard enables organizations to easily manage and deliver the right mix of services through private and public cloud with Microsoft Azure.
Hyper-converged systems, which are preconfigured with scalable compute, storage, networking and virtual software plus Microsoft software, enable organizations to deliver the right mix of infrastructure and cloud services. These systems provide a single platform that is easy to manage, highly available and require no additional specialists to deploy or maintain. The HPE Hyper Converged 250 for Microsoft CPS Standard delivers a self-service cloud environment designed to help IT and developers streamline the deployment of Windows and Linux workloads.
“IT organizations today need on-premise solutions that enable them to run their critical business applications, but also want the flexibility to access Azure public cloud services,” said Ric Lewis, senior vice president and general manager, Converged Data Center Infrastructure, HPE. “HPE and Microsoft are collaborating on this powerful new hyper-converged solution that delivers the economic benefits of cloud, while providing the performance, high-availability and reliability that businesses demand.”
