Imdaad Selects Brocade Ethernet Fabric Data Center Solution for Its Core Service Infrastructure
Revamped solution to scale up company’s internal infrastructure for better connectivity
SAN JOSE, Calif.—May 9th, 2016— Brocade (NASDAQ: BRCD) today announced that Imdaad, a leading provider of integrated facilities, environment, and energy management solutions, has implemented a Brocade® Ethernet fabric network switching solution as an integral part of its service infrastructure. In line with its vision to provide innovative IT solutions, the company required a state-of-the-art data center that could provide a fast, flexible, and scalable network with better connectivity across its sites in Dubai. In particular, Imdaad decided to implement Brocade ICX® 7750 switches as well as Brocade VDX 6740 switches that utilize Brocade VCS® Fabric technology to future-proof its data center network.
Imdaad’s extension of its services from integrated facilities and environmental solutions over the past 25 years has required a streamlined networking solution for both its core data center and future managed sites. The move to a Brocade VCS fabric will offer increased bandwidth to help ensure faster turnaround time, enabling the data center to meet its objectives of higher reliability, scalability, and availability. It will also provide a vendor-agnostic platform with automated features and chassis-like performance while reducing operational expenditure.
Jamal Lootah, CEO, Imdaad, said, “Imdaad is proud to be at the forefront of the managed services industry, and upgrading our service infrastructure will empower us to accomplish our growth plans. We wanted to partner with a market leader who can help us achieve our goals and objectives. We are confident of Brocade’s state-of-the-art and highly advanced multiple-switch solution. We are upbeat that the Brocade Ethernet fabric network switching solution will provide the required agility, scalability, and automation to our data center, enabling us to increase efficiency and focus more on the company’s strategic growth plans.”
The Brocade VDX 6740 with VCS Fabric technology enable multiple switches to form a self-configuring, self-healing Ethernet fabric that foregoes the need for additional network switching layers in the data center. Because the fabric is managed as a single device, Imdaad can simply add more switches to the VCS fabric whenever it requires more data center ports.
“Imdaad has a strong vision for its company and was ready to upscale its network infrastructure. In its fifth generation, Brocade VCS Fabric technology is the leading fabric solution in enterprise data centers. Because it is enabled for software-defined networking and native automation, VCS Fabric technology provides an ideal foundation for not only Imdaad’s future but also for the New IP, a modern approach for open, innovative, and software-enabled networking,” concluded Yarob Sakhnini, Regional Director, Brocade Middle East Mediterranean & Africa.
