Huawei NE9000 routers help Deutsche Telekom provide more convenient, stable, and secure connections to cloud users
[Bonn, Germany, February 23, 2018] Today, Huawei and Deutsche Telekom jointly announced that Deutsche Telekom selected Huawei NE9000 core routers to simplify its network connections and enable cloud-and-network synergy, automated service provisioning, and agile bandwidth adjustment. With innovative information and communications technology and its dedication to continually improving its solutions, Deutsche Telekom provides its users with robust, convenient, stable, and secure cloud services.
Deutsche Telekom is a leader in the European cloud industry, helping enterprises respond to the rapidly changing market landscape with secure cloud services on a pay-as-you-grow model. The carrier offers a full range of cloud services, including private cloud, public cloud, hybrid cloud, and software solutions.
It is estimated that 85% of enterprise applications will be deployed in the cloud by 2025. As more enterprises move in that direction, the connections between users and cloud become more complex, service provisioning becomes slower, and link bandwidth adjustment becomes less agile. In the process of optimizing its network solutions, Deutsche Telekom uses highly integrated devices to make its network connections simpler and more agile, achieving cloud access in one hop. By introducing SDN to speed up service provisioning and making cloud service interfaces ready in advance, it has shortened service TTM from months to weeks. SDN also enables agile, dynamic adjustment of network resources in response to fluctuating bandwidth requirements from users. With on-demand networks and bandwidth implemented by these technologies, Deutsche Telekom can provide its users with intelligent, convenient, and reliable cloud services.
The NE9000, Huawei's next-generation flagship router series, offers a high-capacity platform that can handle traffic growth over the next 5 to 10 years and an intelligent control platform that enables rapid service deployment and agile bandwidth adjustment. These routers will help Deutsche Telekom make their networks simpler, more intelligent, and synergized with the cloud.
MWC 2018 will be held from February 26 to March 1 in Barcelona, Spain. Huawei will showcase its products and solutions at booth 1J50 in Fira Gran Via Hall 1, booth 3I30 in Hall 3, and the Innovation City zone in Hall 4.
