Dialogic advanced virtualized solutions for IMS/VoLTE and STP replacement applications help operators with path to NFV

Parsippany, NJ (September 6, 2016) - Dialogic, a cloud-optimized applications and infrastructure solutions provider for service providers, enterprises, and developers, announced today the expansion of its scalable, virtualized, and software-based signaling, media, and call control solutions portfolio. The Dialogic® ControlSwitch™ System and Dialogic® DSI G5V Signaling Controller are now available as Virtualized Network Functions (VNFs) for operators, systems integrators, and developers wanting to move network functionality to the cloud.

“The decomposed functionality of Dialogic’s ControlSwitch System is aligned with operator Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) strategies that focus on exposing microservices,” said Jim Metzler, Analyst at Ashton, Metzler and Associates. ”This allows operators to take further advantage of the flexibility and automation enabled by cloud-native applications in virtualized environments.”

The ControlSwitch System uses an advanced modular software architecture that lends itself well to IMS/VoLTE cloud deployments. Its decomposed core separates functionality into component services to enable unparalleled scalability and reliability. The DSI G5V Signaling Controller brings highly-scalable signaling, interworking, and routing to virtualized environments and can be deployed to replace legacy Signal Transfer Points (STPs) or enable SMS and USSD routing applications.

The ControlSwitch System and DSI G5V Signaling Controller expand Dialogic’s current portfolio of virtualized solutions, which includes the PowerMedia® XMS Media Resource Function (MRF), PowerMedia® Media Resource Broker (MRB), PowerVille™ Load Balancer (LB), PowerVille™ applications, and BorderNet™ Session Border Controller.
