Jun 01, 2016 10:47 BST: BT is today launching new pay monthly mobile phone contracts with the latest phones from the big brands, starting from just £20 a month for BT broadband households, in a move that will expand its presence in the consumer mobile market.

Only available direct from BT, the new pay monthly deals offer:

• The latest smartphones from all the big brands with a £5 a month discount for BT broadband households
• A choice of three simple plans offering data allowances of 500MB, 2GB or 15GB
• An exceptional combination of 4G on the UK's biggest network with unlimited access to the most extensive wi-fi coverage via more than five million BT Wi-fi hotspots
• Customers can avoid nasty surprise bills with monthly spend caps and usage alerts
• The BT Mobile app lets customers keep tabs on what allowances they are using and what they have got left
• All BT Mobile SIMs now allow tethering for Android users and it will soon be enabled for Apple users
• Parental controls allow parents to block inappropriate content and choose between Strict and Light filters

Like BT’s SIM-only offering, the company has kept its monthly plans simple, with just three to choose from:

• Plan 1: 400 minutes, unlimited texts, 500MB data
• Plan 2: 1,000 minutes, unlimited texts, 2GB data
• Plan 3: Unlimited minutes, unlimited texts,15GB data

Anyone who signs up before 7^th July 2016 can take advantage of some great value special offers, for example:

• The award-winning Samsung Galaxy S6 from only £16 a month for the first three months – a saving of £20 a month
• The Samsung Galaxy A3 - half price for the first six months from just £10 a month
• Save £15 a month on the Apple iPhone 6 – from just £21 a month for the first three months

Last year BT entered the market with three 4G SIM-only deals offering bundles of 4G data, minutes and texts for as little as £5 a month for BT broadband customers. This next step for BT Mobile will be supported by a nationwide advertising campaign on TV, cinema, radio, and posters, digital and social media.
