As part of its entrepreneurship programme and support to startups - ENTER, PT inaugurated on the 26th April 2017 a space dedicated to the dynamization of the innovation ecosystem in Portugal and it is located at Rua da Moeda 7, in Lisbon.
The facilities are prepared to host startups and to ensure events such as open pitching and networking sessions, hackathons or workshops / masterclasses and regular meetups by PT partners.
In addition to cowork areas, meeting rooms, dining areas, a laboratory and a multifunction room equipped for events, this new house of entrepreneurship has permanent presence of PT teams.
In a privileged location of the capital, the space was named Techtris House, in an allusion to the Tetris game and, consequently, to the fitting of the various pieces in this ecosystem of innovation, in particular startups and industry.
Through this Techtris House, it will be possible to accelerate the contact of startups with the various business areas of the Altice Group and access to a network of partners and potential clients, as well as its involvement in research and development projects through Altice Labs.
" In addition, the new space will also house an “Altice Labs corner”, which will create synergies between innovation professionals from inside and outside PT and Altice ”, announces Paulo Neves, CEO of PT.
In this corner, Paulo Chaínho, Pedro Carvalho and Arnaldo Santos, from Altice Labs, presented the latest developments in optical technology (GPON and NG-PON2 technology ) and innovation, research and development projects in the areas of IoT, Big Data, Future PON and 5G.
It is worth highlighting the fact that the management of the Web Summit, at this stage, will make this space its new office in Lisbon. The PT / Web Summit technology partnership was strengthened, which started with the sponsorship and supply of Wi-Fi in the 1st edition of the technological conference in Portugal.
" We could not be happier to announce the opening of our first international office. Lisbon is home to our biggest event and it makes sense to have people working in the city " says Paddy Cosgrave, CEO of Web Summit.
