By end 2016, Telia Company will launch Telia Zone, a new digital ecosystem and platform for broadband connections. Without any extra installation customers get immediate access to exciting new services and solutions. Telia CoPlay, built for use with Spotify, will be the first service on the new platform.

“Telia Zone is a completely new digital ecosystem. We provide the core and the infrastructure and our great partners will develop the services. We call on all talented developers out there to join us to create amazing new things for our customers,” says Rickard Damm, Head of Innovation, Telia Company.

Using the router, Telia Zone gives new life to standard broadband connections. It’s the worry-free way for Telia’s broadband customers to experience the true connected home.

As of today, Telia Zone and APIs are open to developers. ICA, Acast, Storytel and Spotify are among the first partners and developers to join Telia Zone.

“A year ago we launched our strategic partnership with Spotify. I’m super proud to present the first service born out of this co-operation. We call it Telia CoPlay, a social playlist service and the perfect fit for any dinner, party or event. CoPlay is the first service on Telia Zone,” says Rickard Damm

Telia Zone, CoPlay and a range of other service will be launched towards the end of this year. They will be instantly accessible to Telia Company’s 1.2 million customers in Sweden.

“That’s the beauty of Telia Zone – it’ll just happen at the press of a button. No need to buy, install, or upgrade – you just go ahead and enjoy all the great services. And the possibilities are close to endless, I can’t wait to see what happens to Telia Zone in the hands of our partners and developers,” says Rickard Damm.
