The development of 3G standards has been remarkable for the
internecine struggles between various interested parties, groups and
companies that have been championing their own technological variants
while, frankly, dissing the efforts of the competitors.
Relations between the CDMA camps have been strained for years as the
battle of the standards was played out in the media, at conferences and
behind closed doors.
Suddenly though, all is peace and harmony as the factions at last put
aside their differences to concentrate on working together to develop
the 3G market.
