ECTA appoints new Director of Regulatory Affairs

ECTA is pleased to announce the appointment of Sandro Bazzanella as its new Director of Regulatory Affairs based in the Brussels office.

ECTA is pleased to announce the appointment of Sandro Bazzanella as its new Director of Regulatory Affairs based in ECTA’s Brussels office. Sandro, 36, is a Belgian national who speaks 5 languages. A qualified lawyer, he has worked as a consultant on a range of Belgian and European telecommunications projects, and in addition he has worked as General Counsel, Regulatory Director and General Manager for Codenet, a Belgian telecoms subsidiary of the Suez Group. He is also a "Collaborateur Scientifique de la Faculte de Droit" of the University of Namur, which has given him a range of valuable contacts within the European Commission. Sandro will commence work with ECTA on September 8th.

As we announced in a press release in August, Andy Tarrant will be leaving ECTA at the end of September to return to academic work at the University of Oxford. Andy has made an outstanding contribution to ECTA since his appointment as Director of Regulatory Affairs in April 2003. The Board and Staff of ECTA would like to wish Andy all the best of luck in his studies, and thank him for being such a good colleague to work with."
