Raphael Crouan, Managing Director and Founder, Startupbootcamp IoT Program in London

The IoT component of the Startup Bootcamp organisation now has a new programme in London focused on connected devices. It is seeing a lot of interest from potential start-up companies looking at IoT business models, but there are many additional issues they face – from standardisation to supply chain logistics. The two main sub-segments supported by Bootcamp are consumer, with next-generation of devices, especially around Healthcare and assisted living; and the industrial internet. But IoT is not really a hardware play, the real value is in the data that is generated from devices.
