That’s the thing that Spark Integration Technologies brings to the table according to its CEO, Jay Friedman. He tells Martyn Warwick that it aims to provide a simplified model of SDN - which is focused still on the inside of the data centre. Spark, on the other hand, is about abstracting and simplifying SDN for use in the WAN because Spark’s customers are looking for a model that reduces their time to market and reduces the overall cost of ownership to run WAN-based, distributed applications.
