Nick Hopman, Senior Director, Emerging Technology, Global Services, Red Hat

As the big enterprise software company Red Hat begins to sharpen its focus on the telecoms sector, the company is introducing Open Innovation Labs in various parts of the world, including London, England, Boston in the US and a third one that is about to be opened in the Asia Pacific region. As Nick Hopman says, these venues provide an environment where Red Hat can work with its customers in what he calls "an immersive residency". The Open Innovation Lab concept is predicated on the uniqueness of Opensource and allows users to experiment with the transformation  process, and to design and road test disruptive new products.
