The network equipment specialist has spent years 'taking in' network information, and now sees its role as turning that around and pushing its expertise back out again to feed the collective effort required to move the industry through its programmable network transformation. To that end it's opened up Contrail, its SDN software stack, and it expects to compete AND collaborate with other players to steer the industry to better business outcomes around SDN and NFV.
