Not at the level SPs would like it to work, says Bruce Gregory, CEO of CORSA, which produces disruptive enabling hardware (and software) for the data plane. According to Bruce, service providers are fast learning that SDN, NFV and OpenFlow are all very well in theory, but when they try to scale up their prototype networks they find the forwarding hardware can’t deliver on performance, scale and flexibility. CORSA’s DP 6400 can, he claims.
