Erez Cohen, VP CloudX Program, Mellanox Technologies

Mellanox Technologies is an Interconnect company - switches, adaptors, cables - at the 25 to 100 Gbit/s high-end. It’s been an HPE partner for over 15 years and came with it into the NFV market where it is now putting its latest technique - Accelerated Switching And Packet Processing (ASAP2) - to work. Erez says ASAP2 has set a new record of 126 million packets processed in a second. That’s almost a full line-rate for 100Gbit/s. For NFV Erez says the technology can turbocharge VNFs by accelerating server performance without using up CPU cycles.
