Huawei and Intel have a long history of cooperation, Jawee Sun tells Martyn Warwick, and they now share the same vision for the public cloud market. The recent MoU signed between the two reflects the fact that they’re a good match - Intel focussed on silicon and supporting software and Huawei on infrastructure. Together they hope to produce cost-efficient solutions for carriers who are also transitioning into the data centre with SDN/NFV: providing public cloud services to their customers therefore makes a lot of sense.
