Brett Bonner, VP of R&D, Kroger
Kroger is a major US retailer and the largest American supermarket chain by revenue. It operates 620 supermarkets and multi-department stores and is internationally famous for being the first supermarket chain in the world to introduce an in-store bakery. Brett Bonner says that the key to every aspect of Kroger's success is data and "retail site intelligence" which is based on an interlocking set of combined and standards-based technologies that permit the building of a Internet of Retail business case on and around Kroger's key resource, its customers.
