Kassir Hussain, Director of Connected Homes, Centrica
Connected, 'smart' homes are becoming a reality and, as Kass Hussain explains, it won't be too long before IoT becomes an integral part of the home and an individual's day-to-day life as the new technology simply blends into the background. However, it is still early days and many consumers remain understandably concerned about the security of the devices and networks in their homes and the privacy of the data that is being transmitted from them. One of today's most popular IoT applications are smart thermostats and home security services and Kass Hussain believes that as consumers minds are put at rest and they get used to the IoT, it will spread ubiquitously into the family home, the car and the workplace
