HPE's latest iteration adds extra attention to Lifecycle management and enhanced carrier-grade features, says Prodip. But what is new is the 'System' concept. That's where you take a set of individual components and 'pre-integrate' them into a complete system for customers who want their solutions that way. Going forward Prodip expects there will also be more involvement with the open source organisations, and that's where a lot of the input from operators into NFV and SDN is now tending to go, he says;
