Affirmed was founded in 2010 and builds virtual network functions. It’s been working with HPE and Intel since its beginning and it’s claim to fame today is its virtual EPC (Evolved Packet Core) architecture. The key to Affirmed’s approach, says Angela, is the improving performance it can deliver to customers through its close relationshiop with Intel and HPE. “Every time Intel brings out a new chipset we see a 30 per cent performance boost in our application… and from the HPE standpoint we see excellent performance fromthe NFVi architecture.
