Martyn Warwick talks to Charlie about the end of phase 1 of the ETSI NFV ISG and the challenges that may well be faced in phase 2. Charlie says the cooperation apparent between the service providers has really validated the approach taken by the ISG. But, he says, management and orchestration is a slight disappointment in phase 1 and there are some loose ends that have to be tied up, so Phase 2 needs to see the group come together and achieve consensus over a detailed architecture so that vendors can can develop with confidence.
