NFV shouldn't be viewed in isolation; it also has a critical role to play in the deployment of the Internet of Things, providing network reliability for telcos as part of the critical infrastructure required for IoT solutions. Wind River also views the challenges of building NFV solutions with open components as being positive for the industry, enabling providers to get to market faster with their customer propositions.
