Steven Wright, Chairman, ETSI NFV ISG

The Chairman of ETSI NFV ISG, Steven Wright, says that despite a few vendors expressing concern that the commercial roll-out of NFV services isn't happening as fast as they would like, the reality is that the global industry is, in fact, responding with alacrity and enthusiasm to opportunities that network virtualisation will bring. He says it should be remembered that that virtualisation is a massive and far-reaching business transformation as well as a technological one and that a process of such intricacy happens very rarely. It is highly complex and takes time to get it right but the process is inevitable and irreversible changes now in train across the world's networks.

Filmed at: ETSI NFV #13, Dublin, 16 - 19 February 2016
