If you want to understand the dynamics of today’s NFV vendor market you could do worse than study the US reality show, Survivor, according to Luxoft Executive Director of Network Architecture and Business Development, Tomy Issa. There are games, challenges and votings out, then people start forming alliances. So too with NFV, but in time that field will even itself out and begin to function in a different way, with fewer central players and with all the technology gaps filled. So in answer to Martyn Warwick’s question: Are there too many ecosystems? “No, says Tomy, at present there probably aren’t enough.”
