Amol Phadke, Managing Director, Global Virtualization Offering Lead, Accenture

The basic building blocks of network transformation are virtualisation and programmability and that is a matter of the development, deployment and application of technologies including SDN and NFV. However, virtualisation is also about the creation of new business models for operators, telcos and service providers and, to date, it is far from clear exactly what such new business models will actually be and how they will work. Operators have no choice other than to virtualise their networks, operations and businesses but many of them don't know how or where to to start the process or how to manage it to ensure that it is successful . They need independent and dispassionate advice, expertise and help and that's where Accenture comes in.
