As the continental drift to consolidation in UK comms sector continues analysts are beginning to wonder where all the M&A, takeovers and long-term strategic partnerships will eventually lead. Those in broadly in favour of further consolidation say a stable, reduced, but nonetheless competitive market will be to the benefit of both the industry and subscribers, while those against claim that consolidation will, inevitably, lead not only to higher prices and reduced choice for consumers but will greatly slow the move towards network transformation.
