BT is positioned to play a major role in the global automotive industry and when you have a high proportion of that industry as BT customers then it opens up all sorts of possibilities for new and innovative services, especially around the gigantic supply chain, says Steve.
"Car connectedness is now a major buying criteria... we've seen buying decisions made on whether you can plug your smartphone into the car or not. I can see that situation becoming far more competitive."
